Jinan as City of Spring Water is taken as subject of the garden, and it is composed of three parts. The entrance area is at the garden side, plaque is hung at the main entrance, the secondary entrance is moon gate, and the interior and exterior environment is partitioned by scenic wall with ornamental perforated window. Baotu spring main feature is the finishing touch for the garden. There are pond of Baotu Spring and three spring mouths, an enclosed space is formed by a winding gallery in the north for separation from the area of rockery with water fall, and it is connected with Guanlan Pavilion in the west through minor bridge; there is a platform for viewing the spring in the east of spring pond, there is a fountain pond in the east of platform, the water gushes out of the pond to flow into the main spring pond, and the sight of “stream flow”, the rockery and limpid spring scenic spot and the natural scenic stone at memorial archway of entrance form end vista, there is flagstone bridge for the brook in front of the sight of “limpid spring flowing on the stone”.
